I have the raw depth data from Kinect(using libfreenect lib) and have it in a vector map of type uint16_t. I just want to convert it to values in metres. Kindly help!
I need a software …or maybe there is already something out there?.. that allows kinect to display an array of darkness/contrast that is proportional to depth: darker shadings for objects closer to the depth camera, and lighter shadings for further objects. the background would be totally bright.
Any tips/help would be much appreciated.

Hi! My name is Sean and I am a musician who writes original music and is in constant search of artwork which helps convey the title of my songs. I have a song called “Sidelines” and I was wondering who I could request permission from to use the lonely photo (with the empty bench) for my SoundCloud page. I appreciate any help you can give, thank you very much!
I’m working on building up a voxel occupancy stream record of motion around my home, as part of a humanoid robot perception scheme. If you’re still working on this depth camera fusion project, we might be useful to each other. Drop me an email.
